Katniss and Peeta won the Hunger Games. Katniss wants nothing more than to life her life in peace, but she knows there's no chance that can happen. She must convince the world that the love she has for Peeta is sincere, and few people outside of the Capitol are fooled. Unrest is growing, andKatniss has unknowingly started a fire she may not be able to put out.
In the meantime, through a cruel twist of fate, Katniss and Peeta find themselves thrown back in the games, but not as mentors as they believed. Instead they are once again tributes in the 75th Hunger Games, and this time, all their fellow tributes are also past victors, hardened and no strangers to the demented "game".
As her world grows unstable and order begins to slowly crumble, Katniss must navigate not only the arena, but her heart.
I love Katniss and I see a lot of development not only in her but also in all of the other characters throughout the book. I couldn't put the book down - it ensnared me and after I finished it, I had to keep reading parts over and over. It left me a bit shell-shocked and the cliffhanger ending drove me crazy. (Although I didn't mind one bit!) The book was very action-packed and had tons of suspense. Panem continued to develop and the world that Collins has made for the series is truly amazing. 5/5 stars! Expect a review of Mockingjay very soon, possibly within the next couple of days - I need to read that book!
