Cinder is now on the run, forced to leave everything she ever loved after being exposed as a Lunar. The Commonwealth - under the Lunar Queen's insistance - are determined to catch her, and she's suddenly been pushed to the top of their "Most Wanted" list.Teaming up with Captain Thorne, a fellow criminal, she sets out to learn the truth about who she really is.
In France, Scarlet Benoit's beloved grandmother has gone missing. In her desperate search, she is forced to team up with the street fighter Wolf. Wolf may know more than he's saying, but Scarlet is unwilling to trust a complete stranger. Nevertheless, the two are drawn to each other.
When the four meet, they discover that the mysteries may be linked. But that puts them at odds with the lethal Lunar monarch, who will do anything to stop the truth from coming out.
This was a great follow-up to Cinder! Meyer managed to add more characters while not messing up the overall plot, and I loved the humor that Captain Thorne brought into the story! The mysteries were well woven and kept me guessing, and never once was the book slow or boring. The world of The Lunar Chronicles continues to develop and I liked what I saw. It was also fun how Meyer mixed the Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood stories.
