When Juliette wakes up in an unfamiliar house with nobody but Warner, her sort-of enemy, she is understandably confused and terrifed. She then learns that only because of Warner did she escape the bloodbath of the battle between the Omega Point rebels and the Reestablishment. Warner tell Juliette the horrible truth: Omega Point was bombed. There are no survivors. The war is over.

Julliette refuses to accept that her friend and love, Adam, are dead. when scouring the ruins of the rebel base, desperate for survivors, she is relieved to find Kenji, who leads her to the tiny remnants of the once-powerful Omega Point. Enraged, Juliette decides to finish this once and for all: The Reestablishment must fall.

But in order to take on the powerful government, Juliette will need the help of Warner and his resources. Understandably, the rebels are hesitant to help the man who they believe played a role in their friends' deaths. And Adam, jealous of the truce that Juliette and Warner seem to have, fiercely refuses to have anything to do with his brother. Speaking of which, Juliette is starting to realize that what she thought she had with Adam may not be so special after all.

When the series first began, Juliette was a scared, lonely girl who was terrified of herself. Now she's finally begining to accept her abilities and she is becoming comfortable in her own skin. She's convinced that she has nothing left to loose, and it makes her all the more dangerous. Something about Juliette I noticed was her words. In the begining of the series, she sometimes crosses out words and phrases because she decides she doesn't want to say them or they're not true. In Ignite Me, she didn't do that at all. I feel like that is a sign that she's becoming more sure of herself and what she wants to say and do.

In the previous two books, Kenji's humor always kept us laughing in the books' darker parts. Not so much in Ignite Me. He's more angry about Omega Point than humorous now, and since Castle was hit pretty hard by the bombing, he's trying to be a leader. Kenji tries his best to keep everyone safe and look out for the group, and in this book we see more than ever how supportive he is of Juliette. The two are great friends! Kenji tries to be rational and help everyone, and I think that he's a better leader than Castle was.

And then there's Adam. Oh, Adam. You know, I was pretty suprised/upset/ticked at the way his character changed in this book. He's acting like an arse. He's ready to give up the fight against the Reestablishment to survive, which I can understand, but he's not getting any points for that. He refuses to see that Warner isn't a pyschopath, and he just can't seem to let past bad blood between the two go. He also acts way to overprotective of Juliette several times... sort of like Edward.

Warner... *swoon*. Juliette is finally starting to see that he's not the devil incarnate, and he hates his father way more than Juliette could know. He's really a very lonely, damaged person, but in this book we see him trying to open up. But he's also convinced that he's a terrible person, and Juliette is always there to try and help him see that that's not true, even when he has trouble letting her.

And James? It's kind of sad to see this little boy, who should be so innocent, forced to grow up in such a dark world. Even so, he's so cute! Check out pages 266 & 267 - James meets Warner for the first time, and it's adorable. He asks him all sorts of questions. It's really neat to see Warner forced to open up to this little kid.

Okay, so just for the record, don't read chapters 55, 56, 58, and 65 in public. This is Tahereh, after all. Girl knows how to make anyone blush.

This was a great was to finish the series. All the feels, guys. You'll want to punch Adam in the face, believe me, but you're going to want to cry and laugh, too. The plot was very fast-paced, and not a lot of time was spent on things like battles - the whole thing just feels like it flies by, and then you're just sitting there numb with your jaw on the floor. It was amazing! I have a huge book hangover now, but it was totally worth it! 5/5.
