Nightlife: What Do You Think About at Night?

I think those who are scared of the dark are only scared of the possibilities and unknowns it offers. What do you think about at night? Do you reflect on today, or do you worry about tomorrow? Do you wonder what the dark hides, or do you feel relief that you're safe in bed? Do you hope to be home, or do you experience wanderlust while watching the stars, like me? Do you dwell in the past or linger on the future? What do you think about? What do you ask? What do you wish for? By night, our imperfections that the sunlight bares are hidden in darkness and we can be wild, free. Nobody who can tell us otherwise is awake to see us. The only souls that roam now are those few who see the world the way we do.

Tonight the stars are cold, burning the sky with their icy, beautiful light. The moon and I watch one another, but neither of us is going to blink.
