Eleanor comes from a troubled family. She wears the strangest clothes, never says the right things, and has been tagged an instant loser. But Park gets her prefectly. What starts as a shared bus seat and blossoms into friendship. And that, in turn turns into something more - a wild, fast teen romance that spans not quite as chool year. Maybe it won't end well, but they're hopeful - or stupid - enough to try.
The two come from very seperate backrounds, but they find what they have in common and make their way through part of a difficult time in their lives, even helping each other learn some stuff along the way.
The idea seems simple, and I guess that in a way, the book was. But the relationship of the two and the writting was heartfelt. The mood wasn't exactly happy, but there was some wistful about it I really liked and it was a interesting new take on teen love. If you loved The Fault in Our Stars or Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets of the Universe, you'll love this! Absolutly amazing! I would call this a good winter read. 5/5 stars, easily.
