Books can provide all sorts of lessons and introduce tons of thoughtful and creative questions and ideas. But some books, even the good ones, give us some lessons that I wouldn't suggest following...
Pretty Little Liars
"Killing your twin sister and then trying to burn your best friends alive is a perfectly acceptable form of revenge."

Twilight
"Having a boyfriend is the most important thing in the world. It's even more important than being alive! Needing a man to do everything for you is a great way to promote feminism. Also, watching someone sleep isn't creepy at all."

City of Ashes
"Promote incest!"
Linger
"Turning into a wolf will fix all your problems."
Divergent
"Throwing knives at a girl will totaly get her to like you."
Hush, Hush
"As long as you think he's attractive, it doesn't matter how many times he tries to kill you. Or that he's been stalking you."

Legend
"Test scores are all that matters in your quest to have a good life."
Shadow and Bone
"Magic powers are out. Tech is in."
The Lunar Chronicles
"People who are part machine should be looked down upon. It doesn't matter how many awesome built-in gadgets they have or if they're a princess with magic powers in hiding."

The Hunger Games
"Watching desperate kids kill each other is prime entertainment!"
