In the fantasy world of the Nevernever, everything is possible, from talking trees to giant spiders. Of all the beloved creatures of the Nevernever, the cait Grimalkin is the most frustrating - and the most lovable. The infamous companion of Meghan Chase and her friends has had more than his fair share of exciting adventures, and it's high time he told his stories.

First, we travel to the Wyldwood to see the first meeting between Meghan and Grim through Grim's eyes before journeying to the Summer Court for a party that goes terribly wrong. Then it's off to the Winter Court for a run-in with The Wolf and off to the ruins of a city of giants to search for a lost treasure. Grimalkin always has another escapade up his sleeve and someone new to exploit.

I couldn't believe this book was being released! Grim is one of my favorite characters, and it was great to see that he had a book all to himself. In the books, he's a little enigmatic, out for himself and admittedly very selfish. On the inside, though, he really does grow to care about Meg and the others. He saves their lives and gives Meg advice. As much as it's true that this could be because he wants his favors, I think that, on some level, he really does care and have affection for the Iron Queen.

As for the book, it was short but very entertaining! Grim's adventures are suspenseful and full of action, with plebty of exciting plot twists and surprise character appearences, from Ariella to a younger Mab! I also loved seeing more of the Nevernever, like when Grim takes a trip to a destroyed city of giants. I've knew about the city from a reference to it in the end of The Iron Knight, but it was never visited in the series, so I'm glad I saw it in here. This is a fun, quick little read that is a must-read for any fan of the series! 4/5 stars!

P.S. I know, but I couldn't resist. Happy April Fool's Day!
